Coming up next Monday, February 12th, 2nd Monday at 49

I love doing the 2nd Monday at 49 show because it keeps me in touch with all of the amazing artists in this area. Most of the time, we're just ships passing in the night, but on Monday, Michael K and Jen Smith are joining me and Tom Fridrich for a night of original music, so we're all dropping anchor in the same port, so to speak. Michael K, the king of the pop hook, will be bringing it with his upbeat quirky tunes about life and love. Jen Smith, talented guitarist, singer, and songwriter, is starting a new solo project and I can't wait to hear the new songs and arrangements. In fact, I hope to sit in on a couple! She will be sitting in with me on a song we co-wrote, "Holiday", from the new release, Stories. It's one of my personal favorites from the new album -- I mean, it has accordion AND melodica (thank you Aaron Buchheister, jack of all trades). Show starts at 7:30 pm.
